 Diving at night is a very different experience than diving during the
day. At night, there is often a lot more activity, particularly among
the smaller creatures. We can honestly boast Chowder Bay as the best
night dive in Sydney and so the majority of our guided dives at night
is conducted directly in front of our dive centre. Logistically, this
makes everything really easy!
GUIDED NIGHT DIVES
We limit our Guided Night Dives to only 2 divers per guide.
The reason for this is:
1. Because Chowder Bay is such an amazing night dive,
we want you to experience it at its best. Positioning yourself either
side of the guide means you'll see everything they do!
2. And, as with everything we do, we're conscious of
safety. Diving at night poses additional hazards to diving during the
day.
Prerequisites:
Minimum of Advanced Open Water
Certification having completed night dive during your course
or
Adventure
Night Diver Certification or Night Diver Specialty Certification
or
Night Diving experience with a minimum of 10 logged night dives (proof of Log Book necessary)

WANT TO EXPERIENCE YOUR FIRST NIGHT DIVE?
For those who have never experienced a night dive, you can join us for
an Adventure Night Dive and find out what diving at night is all
about. We'll teach you procedures necessary to dive safely at night,
including how to communicate with hand signals and dive lights, read
gauges and maintain buddy contact and we'll introduce you to the
wonders of the nightly marine environment.
We limit our Adventure Night Dives to a maximum of 2 divers per instructor.
Prerequisites:
Minimum of Open Water Scuba Diver certification with at least 10 logged dives (proof of Log Book required) and you are required to have a
PADI Adventures in Diving Manual or PADI Night Diver Specialty Manual (we supply this at subsidised rates if necessary and the cost of the manuals can be credited towards your Advanced Course/NIght Diver Specialty course cost)
Cost of Adventure Night Dive: $150
