- EDUCATION – we offer the largest range of SCUBA dive courses in Sydney.
- PADI is the largest recreational dive training agency in the world
- TDI is the largest technical dive training agency in the world
- DSAT is PADI’s emerging technical arm
- EFR is PADI’s First Aid training partner
- DAN is dedicated to research and training diver safety and health
- IAHD – PLUNGE is the only dive centre offering dive training for handicapped, as well as IAHD Instructor training in Sydney
 EQUIPMENT – All of our training equipment is the newest and most modern available. Safety and comfort are the parameters we use when choosing our training equipment, with different options in sizing and styles to suit all types of divers. Nitrox computers and compasses are standard on every regulator set and service logs are available for you to see at any time.
We also have a fully stocked dive retail store, sourcing the most up to date, high quality Scuba Diving equipment from over 30 manufacturers.
- EXPERIENCE – Divers: we provide a complete array of scuba diving and snorkelling services, including boat dives, shore dives, club dives, snorkelling trips, corporate days etc. Being located directly on the water makes diving logistics really easy. Dive travel is a particular speciality with a very active dive travel calendar overseas, interstate and locally. And we’re always looking to provide opportunities for divers to learn and experience more about our marine environment e.g. information evenings with guest speakers; environmentally aware initiatives etc.
EXPERIENCE– Staff: the owners of PLUNGE have over 25 years teaching experience between them, with an impressive array of qualifications including PADI Course Director, PADI Master Instructor, PADI IDC Staff Instructor, EFR Instructor Trainer, TDI Instructor Trainer, DAN Instructor Trainer and IAHD Instructor Trainer. Such exceedingly high standards in top management, ensures PLUNGE maintains only the best SCUBA dive training practices at all times.
 ENVIROMENT – PLUNGE is the ONLY dive centre actually located on Sydney Harbour with our own wharf and easy access to the shore. The ocean is at our doorstep, the perfect setting for dive training or for simply going SCUBA diving. It’s the best environment for both you and us!
Our wharf is currently undergoing renovations. Once operational, our boat will pick up just outside our front door!
- ECO-FRIENDLY – PLUNGE is committed to the conservation and furthering awareness of the marine environment. This commitment is reflected in how we conduct our training courses plus our affiliations with numerous conservation organisations.
- EXCLUSIVITY - In order to deliver a truly personalised service, we limit our class size to a maximum of 4 students per instructional staff. This ensures you get individual care and attention and reinforces our commitment to your safety.
- EXCELLENCE – in order to maintain our exceedingly high standards, we have a number of quality control measures in place, such as customer feedback questionnaires on all courses, travel and SCUBA dive experiences, internal training audits and staff performance evaluations.
- ENCOURAGMENT – Our instructors and shop staff are always on hand to discuss with you your diving. We’re happy to sit down and chat about further training options, guide you in choosing equipment or excite you with dive travel stories.
 EFFECTIVENESS - We utilise a number of valuable training techniques, in addition to those normally used in dive training, to ensure the training you get is personal and individually effective. An example of this is the use of underwater video on the more advanced courses, to easily identify and explain areas of weakness for further practise.
We also have a personal appointment system to assist you in making more informed and effective buying decisions relative to the type of scuba diving that you want to do. We’re committed to making better divers!
- EXPEDITIONS – We don’t simply bring you on a dive trip. Each of our trips are Enthusiastic Expeditions of Exploration! We love to travel and specialise in exploring the more unique aspects of localities! Each of our destinations are thoroughly researched, with information evenings and a travel pack provided before you leave. Once at the airport, you’re on holiday and we make sure that you experience all that a dive destination has to offer.
