INTERNATIONAL DIVE TRAVEL

How lucky are we, being so close to a host of spectacular Pacific Islands?  The scuba diving and snorkelling experiences available to us are endless.  And we take advantage of it and head to the Pacific as often as we can!

All of our scuba diving trips are planned to maximise your experience and enjoyment.

An example is our Yap trip, We specifically booked February 2006 for a trip to YAP, in Micronesia, as this is the Manta Ray mating season and the show of Mantas dancing, swirling and playing as they mate together is something you will never forget, and probably never see again.  There are very few other destinations in the world where you can see such a display of manta activity.

AUSTRALIAN DIVING

Australia, as a country and continent, easily has the most diverse scuba diving and snorkelling opportunities…Great Barrier Reef in Queensland, Whale Shark Snorkelling in Western Australia, Great White cage diving in South Australia, the Kelp Forests in Tasmania and the spectacular Grey Nurse Sharks and wrecks in New South Wales.

HMAS BRISBANE - 6th to 9th September 2007
We're heading north to dive the HMAS Brisbane in September 2007, shrugging off the winter chill and going wreck diving in Queensland. This trip has been scheduled to coincide with the APEC summit in the city where many CBD workers have been asked to take time off. Even if you don't have to take the time off, it's only 2 days off work for a 4 day holiday! This will be a great fun trip and we're limited to only 12 people so make sure to book soon.
The HMAS Brisbane was a Perth class guided missile destroyer, built in the US and commissioned into the Royal Australian Navy in 1967. She served in the Vietnam War and in the first Gulf War, and was decommissioned in 2001. She has been on the floor only a short time and already has attracted a fantastic variety of marine life including schools of kingfish, angler fish, lion fish, snapper, shovelled-nose ray, eagle rays and large bull rays. The ship itself is a spectacular sight underwater and penetration will be allowed by those with suitable certification.

Arriving on the Sunshine Coast Thursday around midday, we'll be transferred to our luxury accommodation where we'll quickly unpack and get our dive gear together. The dive centre will pick us up and we'll head out for an afternoon dive on the HMAS Brisbane followed by a dusk/night dive. It's unusual to get the opportunity to dive this wreck at night, so this will be pretty special. This first day is followed by 2 days of diving and finished off with a BBQ on Saturday night. Then it's a relaxing day on Sunday to sightsee, sunbake or do what you wish before heading back to the airport.

COST only $699 and includes

  • 6 boat dives (including a dusk dive on the wreck)
  • Cylinder & weights hire
  • $60 Government wreck tax
  • 3 nights twin-share luxury accommodation
  • All transfers to and from airport & dive centre
  • Continental breakfast
  • BBQ dinner on Saturday evening
Not Included:
  • Flights to Sunshine Coast (currently only $98 each way)
  • Equipment hire (other than cylinder & weights)
  • Nitrox
  • Lunch & Dinners (except for Saturday BBQ & snacks during dives)
The HMAS Brisbane is a perfect site to dive with Nitrox and we strongly recommend everybody either do their course before or during the trip. Nitrox will extend your bottom time significantly and thereby you can get the most out of every dive. It's also a great site to conduct Wreck Specialty courses so we'll be offering specials on both of these courses during the trip.

PADI WRECK SPECIALTY - normally $395 - SPECIAL TRIP PRICE only $250
PADI ENRICHED AIR NITROX SPECIALTY - normally $345 - SPECIAL TRIP PRICE only $225
PADI COMBINED WRECK & NITROX - normally $630 - SPECIAL TRIP PRICE only $425

And finally ... we are limiting this trip to Advanced Open Water certified and above. If you are currently an Open Water diver, you have plenty of time to do your Advanced course before the trip!!!

NSW DIVE TRAVEL

NSW has some of the most beautiful temperate scuba diving in the world.  Many of the diving destinations outside of Sydney, are no more than 4 to 5 hours drive away, so there’s no need to take time off work, it just takes a weekend.

Our local trips are a great way to meet new dive buddies, gain further dive experience and get a quick break from the hectic pace of Sydney life.

SOUTH WEST ROCKS - 4th to 6th August 2007
And we're heading north again in August to visit another spectacular site, the renowned Fish Rock Cave at South West Rocks.  We run a number of trips each year to this location as it always promises an amazing variety of fish life, Grey Nurse Sharks and at this time of the year, Hump Back Whales.  Last year when Peter and Zoe dived the rock, a Hump Back and calf surfaced only 5 meters from where the boat was anchoring and they jumped into the water on snorkel to be rewarded with 10 minutes of beautiful whale sightings .... absolutely magical!!!

So, details are we drive north on Friday evening, do 2 dives on Saturday, Sunday and Monday and then return to Sydney on Monday afternoon.  This weekend is a Bank Holiday so some of you will have a holiday and for others it's only a day to take from work.  South West Rocks is such a long drive and such wonderful diving, that we want to do at least 3 days of diving.  However, if you only want to join us for 2 days of diving and return to Sydney on the Sunday evening, this can be arranged!

COST only $499 for 3 days of diving or $350 for 2 days of diving

Includes:

  • 6 boat dives or 4 boat dives
  • Cylinder & weights hire
  • 3 or 2  nights share accommodation
  • Continental breakfast

Not Included:

  • Equipment hire (other than cylinder & weights)
  • Nitrox
  • Meals (except for breakfast)
  • Transport to and from South West Rocks

This trip is limited to Advanced Open Water divers and above.  However, if time is at a premium you can complete the course while away on this trip...and save!

PADI ADVANCED OPEN WATER COURSE - normally $345 - SPECIAL TRIP PRICE only $255
